With hundreds of thousands of people from around the globe flocking to the mountains, water ways, and trails in our area, the environment has taken a serious hit. It is up to all of us to give back to the places we love. This page offers a collaboration of opportunities to support these places. We’ve teamed up with tons of local organizations, tourism groups and companies who are all interested in the long-term protection of these special places. We are working with each of them to allocate funds, partner in projects, and spread the word to locals and visitors. Below, we have information on how you can get involved today! Oregon Equestrian Trails is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit whose members build and maintain trails and horse camps across the state and work to preserve recreational equestrian access to public lands. In Central Oregon, we maintain Sisters Cow Camp and Swamp Wells Horse Camp as well as 50 miles of the Metolius-Windigo Trail. We also provide maintenance support for the trails at Cline Buttes, Peterson Ridge, and the Swamp Wells Trail System. We appreciate our volunteers who want to get out on the land and keep our trails open, as well as those who are involved in fundraising and advocacy. We’re a very friendly group, and we have lots of fun at our work parties, rides and campouts, and meetings.
